I am a Highschool student trying to fight the ban of certain books from public school systems due to minority complaint.

I know I am not a member of this literature community, but I need help spreading my new petition against book regulation in US public schools.
This is the first place I have come to (mainly because it was the top result on google), but also because it seems like the community here is pretty active.

Without further ado, here is what I have typed up and submitted. I need to get 150 signatures to even get it published.

Ban the Regulation of Literature from Our School Systems
The American school systems currently regulate the literature taught and promoted by the teachers. This act not only defies the civil liberties of our children, but also prevents the important exposure of real-world subjects from our schools. This literature such as Mark Twain's 'The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn', Harper Lee's 'To Kill a Mockingbird', and even Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet' are all often misinterpreted by single entities of parents, and proclaimed inappropriate, and ultimately made taboo from school libraries.

Note that this does not disallow a simple opt-in system for the discussion of certain books in class, as students do not gain full liberty until they are 18.
