I'm not going to place any limitations upon the choice of book as I don't think that's worked particularly well the last two times although I'm not ruling it out for future months but I thought we could have a completely open field this month and see how that goes.

Please post your nominations for the July 2011 Book of the Month here.

Hm... my summer reading is F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby, and I'm really looking forward to reading that, so that's my nomination!

Dewey: The Small-Town Library Cat Who Touched the World, by Vicki Myron with Bret Witter

It seems to be the only thing I wish to read at the moment that isn't part of a series.

Thanx Jeremy and Moony. I'll give this thread a couple more days and then it'll be time to go forward to voting so if you have a nomination to add please get it onto the list before then.

Think I'll sit out July - I'm still progressing through The Idiot, and looking forward to The Crossing, and the summer is beginning to fill up, so I'll coast until August.

Yes, I do hope you get to The Crossing, Winifred, I thought it was a terrific read. Pity The Idiot is such a long haul. We won't have that problem this month (I'm assuming the Dewy book is quite short and I know the Fitzgerald novel is not lengthy).

Okay let's go forward to voting.

I love the book clubs but feel so badly when I haven't read the book.

Please include a question or two each time for those who'd still like to participate even if they can't get it together to do the actual reading. Lame, I know.
