About two weeks ago, the Scientist and I took a surprise trip into the nearby hills, into the edge of the Brindabella range. Although he is working hard on turning his photography habit into at least a semi-professional racket, I'm more a snapper of pretty things that catch my eye. I thought I'd share a few of the pictures I caught.

I replaced by five-year-old camera last year and have to say I am loving my new Canon. The Fuji went some amazing places but it just couldn't keep up.

how nice to be able to see such great stuff close to home! :)

I especially like the first picture.

Nice pics, as usual, Star! Why are all those trees down in pic #4? I must say, I think your road crews could come up with slightly more imaginative street names, though.:)

I have no idea why the trees have been cut and left across the track like that - we saw it a few times, so I suspect it's been done to close tracks that they don't want used any more.

I thought the 'East West Rd' thing very pragmatic, hence the photo! There are a lot of political names around here so it makes a nice change:)
