Time to go and track down this novel if you are taking part in this month's discussion. :)

neilgee, I think the author is Elizabeth Knox, not Know?

Tore through Dreamhunter, and I must say, it would probably have been enjoyable when I was 13. Sigh. Alas, I am not.

Alas also, would everybody mind awfully if I missed this month? I havn't missed one in months and months, but I'm not 13 either, and I've come to trust Winifred's judgement.

I seem to have a thing about getting this author's name wrong. I went into Waterstones and asked for the book but I got the name wrong there too, calling her Barbara Knox for some reason, that was eventually sorted out after some confused googling by the attendant, but it turned out that the book isn't available in the UK and because I'm in the process of moving it isn't feasible to send for it on Amazon just now, which is the main reason I won't be participating this time.

Well, if neilgee isn't able to get the book, I'll expand a bit. I did think the premise for the book was interesting: certain people have the ability to pass into a dream dimension, capture dreams, and not only bring them back, but share them with others who are sleeping. As this implies a kind of mind control, nefarious elements are out to exploit the process. Add a highly talented uncle, adolescent girls, a boarding school, predictable plot developments, and an ending designed to encourage continuation to the next volume. Since I'm the first to post, I'm avoiding spoilers. I will quote my favorite line: "You can stay put if you like, Rose. But you'll have to find something to read." "That shouldn't be hard." Rose looked around at all the bookshelves. "Go and find The Mill on the Floss - that might do you some good."
