The Lit. Forums is successfully updated except for smilies and other icons used when composing posts. Sean is working on that now.
Sean single-handedly updated the Forums and solved the problems that went along with that. Thanks Sean, you've done a great job!

Three cheers for Sean! It looks great and is bound to give us many more hours of literature forum goodness:)
ooh, wow, i like the colors!
I love the color scheme -- very restful and readable!
And super congratulations to Sean for winning a difficult battle!

The colors are very soft and pretty, and the darker blue background really makes it stand out nicely.
Good job! :)

Well done. We did the same at OddfellowsLocal and I know how much work is involved. I looks great.

Sean,
you continually amaze me. Have you viewed Rushmore? the lead character Max Fleischer is a student at Rushmore who is either president or manager or participater or founder of about fifteen clubs, including one for the United
Nations. And he is only fifteen. You remind me of him. Well I mean that way, I don't know if you have a crush on any teachers and have taken on all the other guys that love her. But well..........outstanding job, and thankyou so very much.

Nice one, Sean! It's great to see the site progressing :)
Sean - updated site looks great! As the Sublime Prince of Oopsing, I want to thank you. Thanks again for all your work and for providing a place for us to gather and share a little bit of ourselves. I assume the new vBulletin forbids me from "oopsing" all over the place?

Does this necessarily mean that all the links I posted as smilies in my posts will be lost?

For now, yes. Permanently?...possibly, but I don't know.

It's the end of an era.

I've been flipping through my "reward plaques" catalog. I think we'll have to have a final ceremony to close down the "oops" club forever. *sigh*
I really like the "Go to First New Post" feature. Unless we had it on the old site, it's a nice addition and is what I'm looking for when I come here. This way, if I'm away for a week, I can go to the first new post, and read any and all posts since my last visit.
Keep up the good work!

Hi, while the forum looks great, I still have the little red x's for smilies and whether or not someone is online, or the reply buttons. Am I the only one? If so, what can I do about it?
Thanks. :)

Thanks. :)You're not the only one--the image links are just broken for the time being. Sean is working on it. (In the meantime, you can use smilies with noses. :-p)

Yay, wow! I haven't been here for a while and surprisingly everything had changed since my last visit!
Lol!
This is the default, off the shelf colour scheme that the forum 'ships' with. Other than upload the files and follow the step by step instructions of the installer, Sean hasn't actually done anything noticeable yet. (With the exception of the very dark blue of the page's background.)
Works for me, Sean. I'm enjoying it. Sure, there are some bugs that need working out, but the forum is functional, and that's what counts. Our SPAM has vanished, and that certainly counts for something.

I'm real observant :-P How come we got rid of it?

It had become nothing but a repository for spam. It held only spam, and nothing else, since 2004!

Any idea yet on a time scale for it all to be sorted? I adore posting on here, but can't for long as all the jumping about and waiting for the posting box to load in is hurting my eyes :(

Hmm..I don't have any jumping about, and for me the posting box loads immediately. Would it make a difference to switch form Internet Explorer to Firefox or vice versa (I use Firefox)? Anyone else having this problem?

For the last couple of days, the forum has been very slow to pull up, and to shift between threads. Is anyone else experiencing this?
