I received Jane Austen's Little Advice Book as a Christmas present. It's such a small book that it didn't take very long to finish at all. Still I think it may be more appealing to Austen fans, which I am not really of that status. Pride and Prejudice is the only novel of hers that I have finished. It's merely quotes from her novels and letters over various social topics of social behavior. Overall it was an okay read, but I must admit that I wasn't too enthralled by it. But like I said, it might be more appealing to someone who really likes Jane Austen.

This was a pretty easy book for me to get into reading. It made me laugh and showing vamps as less than the modern vision of seductive sex gods appealed to me. I had my worries at some points where the narrator finds the werewolf dazzling to look at, because I expected some romantic notions on that end in utter fear and dread, but luckily it did not come to such nonsense. Overall it was a pretty average read, I thought.
I plan on reading the sequel The Abused Werewolf Rescue Group.

I didn't like Hugo's novel as much as I always figured I would. A part of me thinks this odd because it has a lot of good elements and it's a classic... I usually like the classics! :p But at least I finished reading it... which is more than can be said of something like Wuthering Heights. That book gave me such a desperate desire to beat the characters with sticks. I suppose it really does just boil down to individual tastes after all. I can see why Notre-Dame is well-received, but it did not click with me.
