Cats like the craziest places to sleep. My mom's cat likes to sleep on top of her papers when she's doing the bills or other paperwork. Willow, the family's cat when I was growing up, loved to sleep in the manger set my mother used to arrange in the living room at Christmastime. :)

Pebbles looks soft and fluffy! how old is she?

She is 5 years old. We rescued her. She was 14 weeks old when we got her and had never seen people so was scared stiff and hid behind the sofa for four days. When she eventually did come out, we discovered she was being eaten alive by fleas. Millions of them were dropping off her as she was saturated with them. She also had worms - quite badly! We got the vet to prescribe her something as she was too scared to be taken out of the house. Sshe was so thin you could wrap your hand completely around her and your fingers would meet.
Now, 5 years down the line she is errr...... a rather plump cat, and sooooo laid back and chilled. She is happy with meeting and greeting all new people and loves to play. She is still more shy of men than women though, but is brave enough to give them a go now. :)
We love her completely and she is not afraid to show love and affection back. She adores being held like a baby and purrs when you rock her. :)

No way any of us could be without her! :)

This is my cat, Mrs. Pebbles Spence Baird, aka Miss Kitty. I'm posting her picture because I think she would be a member and have a great deal to say if only she could type. She has read most of my books with me; she usually sits on my chest or my lap (or my books) while I'm reading. Plus, she is just so wonderful that I want to share her!

At any rate, this is Alex's "little sister", Eurythmic, as an awkward yearling. We call her "Baby Fang" because she looks so sweet and innocent, but in reality. . . . she is one young lady with a mind of her own! Alexander is a Thoroughbred, and Baby Fang is a Rhinelander (German warmblood).

Thanks Britomart - that is the best picture ever taken of Alex. . .I think I'm going to have it blown up and professionally mounted, then hang it abouve my fireplace. (Although I'm a bit leery of hanging myself up where I will have to look at it every day :) )
As for Baby Fang, I'm going home to my parents' place the end of July, so I should have new pictures of her as a gawky two year old soon. She's in those "teen years" right now. *giggle*

LOL she's sooo laid back, if she chilled any more she's be dead! :D She loves her belly patted and will curl up readily on your knee, but don't expect to get much reading done as she snuffles under your book and demands you stroke her! :D

oh, my dog also likes bananas.. actually, she likes eating anything at all - onions, potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers, meat, fish, cheese.. she doesn't drink beer, though :D

Thanks Winifred. We jokingly call her "Baby Fang" because she is actually very sweet and follows people around like a homeless puppy. She DOES have a temper, though, make no mistake. I bought her when she was 3 days old, and so the first time she was naughty, she threw herself over backwards and then proceeded to nuzzle me after her temper tantrum. From that day on, we jokingly told people to "watch out for Fang". Her real name is Eurythmic, but that's too long to say on a daily basis.

If you scroll up to about page 5 on this thread you'll also find a link to my current show horse, Alexander the Great, in case you're interested. I have to make a plug for him, otherwise he'll get jealous of his "baby sis"

I have two dogs, a beagle named Smeagol and a Shiba cross named Dobby.

We adopted Dobby this past spring from the humane society and this picture was taken a few minutes after we brought Dobby home. They had met before, we had to go visit him several times before we were able to bring him home and we always brought Smeagol with us but this was the first time he was in Smeagol's territory...I'm happy to say it went very, very well.

They do own that sofa. ;) They aren't allowed on the the furniture as a general rule, but that's an old icky couch so we've given it up to them. They love to sit there and watch out the window just like a couple of cats.:p

A couple of pictures of Brandi. We go to an open field early on weekend mornings where we play fetch with a tennis ball. We also play a game where I toss the ball up a tree and she tries to catch it after it rattles around the branches. She's pretty good at catching it. Here she is watching the ball come down and then going after it.

Thanks. Labs never grow old in spirit. Someone once asked my vet when her lab will calm down and the vet said five minutes before she expires. :D

We don't have a pet, but a lot of people in our neighburhood has cats, and they come to our place a lot begging for milk with their cute cat-eyes. That's how close Anton (my boyfriend) and I get to having our own pet.

One of the cats came about seven times today, and Anton gave him/her some milk, and here he/she is.

This one's Itchy, I grew up with her. She's about 13 or 14 now. She's my Mom's cat, and I used to spend most of my time at my Mom's, but I live at my Dad's now, where we just got Little Cat/L.C./Elsie to take care of the mice:

I think Delilah looks at costumes as something new she can eat and play with. Lily seems to humor us. They're both used to wearing coats in the winter. They've outgrown (or torn apart, in the case of Delilah), so they need new coats this year. My mother thinks my sister is stupid for dressing them up, so my mother said she is going to make full use of the costumes by using them as the dogs' winter coats from now on. :rolleyes: :p
