Alphabetical Story Game

[Scheherazade]

Here is a new game! The aim of the game is to write a story with each sentence begining with consequent letters of the alphabet.


After finishing my dinner, I turned the television on.

(next sentence should begin with letter B.)

But when I turned it on there was nothing but static.

[Scheherazade]

Confused, I tried the radio.

Distant voices could be heard, saying...

"Everything you see doesn't really exist, all that exists is the..."

Goosbumps covered my arms, and I

... holding my breath, listened for more.

In vain, for all that came to me was...

...just follow your path and you will find everything you've ever seeked...

Luckily my alarm went off and I found I had been dreaming.

Morning already? But what's that interesting smell coming from the...

nearby cafeteria, so delicious and lovely?

Often I've considered going there to find out.

Passing by, however, a strange feeling emanates from the place.

Quietly I move towards the door

[Ygraine]

Rat-a-tat-tat. I knock, but no one answers and the place appears to be closed

Sighing, I turn away.

"Try reading the sign on the door," said a familiar voice from behind me.

Unfortunately, when I turned around to say hello, I was not greeted with what I thought would be a familiar face.

Bedazzled by its beauty, I could only stare mutely.

"Care to dance?", he asked, as waiters served strawberries and blueberries with wet and dry noodles. ;)

"Do I dare dance with this beautiful and intriguing stranger," I asked myself, whilst partaking of the fruit and...uh...noodles.

"Enough of this foolishness!" A voice erupted behind me, and i turned to see (finally) a familiar face.

Familiar yet an unwelcome face...

grinning at me menacingly.

Heavy of heart, I knew I must now face my arch nemesis.

I said a silent prayer

Just as I started to pray, I forgot what I was praying for.

Kieran, my arch nemesis, moved closer.

"Last chance to do something right, last chance...last chance..." spun through my mind as i drew my knife and we circled each other.

My ballet training came in handy, as we danced a dance of death.

Neither of us blinked as the drums started pounding in our hearts, in our minds, and in our sweat-covered hands.

"oh, i said, waking up, what a weird dream", just to realize it wasn't..

[Star_Anise]

Pain seared through my body as conciousness came, bearing bad news.

Quaking with fear, I realized I'd been stabbed in the arm!

[H. Caulfeild]

Realization gave birth to fear, and in my fear, i sought to flee.

[oceanflower]

"Save me, someone!" I screamed.

[Scheherazade]

Trying to run as fast as I could, I headed towards the...

[musi]

unfamiliar dark house, that stood in the nearby valley, and just as i was about to reach it...

voices could be heard chanting

"When the music's over, yeah, When the music's over
Turn out the lights, Turn out the lights, Turn out the lights, yeah..."

X marks the spot, I thought confusedly, heading towards an indistinct, x-shaped mark on a nearby tree.

[H. Caulfeild]

Yellow-white light nearly blinded me as the sun peaked over the edge of the world, shining through the trees...

zig-zagging dizzyingly before my eyes

as i fell upon the "x" that marked the spot, but what did it mean?

Beneath the "X" I could see something sparkling

[Scheherazade]

Cautiously I approached, not daring to touch the X.

[musi]

doing everything veery slowly, i reached out and grabbed the sparkling thingy..

[oceanflower]

ever so gently I rested my fingertips on something that felt....

[musi]

fresh and warm, so gentle and fragile.. and as i was about to grab it,

[Star_Anise]

granules of diamond slipped through my fingers, as my impure touch fell upon the world's greatest treasure.

"How can this be?" I whispered.

[MSREADER]

In response, I heard this song, "Imagine there's no heaven. It's easy if you try. No hell below us. Above us only sky...".

Jumping up I shouted, "No! Not the Beatles!"

[eflo]

...knowing fully well that it was not the Beatles, but in fact the version sung by A Perfect Circle.

[Scheherazade]

'Losing my mind, no doubt', I thought, 'worrying about songs at a time like this...'

[H. Caulfeild]

Mustering up all my courage, i reached again for the sparkly thingy...

[musi]

noticing how my hands shaked, and finally grabbed it after a long time of thinking!

[Jezebel]

"Oh my" I cried, "It's beautiful!"

Praying that I would not drop it, I pulled it towards myself

[Jezebel]

Quite a prize I've got here, but then...

[H. Caulfeild]

recieving something this easily can only bring along a curse.

Suddenly, as if my thoughts had summoned it them,

[musi]

this weird unknown voice, so gloomy and scary, whispered in my ear:

"Unknown endings, to the roof of the temple in Bangkok, there you will find your endings unknown."

Verging on hysteria, I dropped the object and backed away

[H. Caulfeild]

What does it all mean? Bangkok? temple? endings unknown? I guess there was just one thing for me to do...

[musi]

x-ray my brain to find if i was suffering from these nightmares for a reason, but just as i was about to..

[oceanflower]

yellow-jackets (stinging bees) rose in a swarm from the sparkling object!

[H. Caulfeild]

Zinging around my head, the insects made a strange sound, but they did not attack, it sounded like...

[oceanflower]

agitated buzzing.

[H. Caulfeild]

But as I listened closer i could hear a voice arising from their midst, like the collective sound was saying,

Come back, come back....

[musi]

don't go any further, fly with us..

[oceanflower]

Ever cautious, I resisted the lure of the beckoning voices

[Star_Anise]

feeling myself nevertheless drawn into the midst of the bee swarm.

[H. Caulfeild]

Giving myself into their midst, all else disappeared, black and yellow swarmed before my eyes.

[oceanflower]

Hopelessness threatened to overcome me.

[musi]

i just let it all flow and allowed myslf to be pulled up into the air..

[Star_Anise]

kissing my sanity goodbye, well and truly.

[H. Caulfeild]

(lets go back to "j" for a sec...)

jumbled thoughts became clear, does that make sense? i guess it does now that i'm...

(and now insert star's answer and we're back to "L"

Listening to the peaceful buzzing and seeing black-yellow stripes before my eyes, i quietly fell asleep..

Many hours later I awoke to find...

[DARKanima]

nothingness, i appeared within a dark void of sanity...

[H. Caulfeild]

only i was outside the void, my body was inside, i could feel it...

[oceanflower]

Panicking, I tried to figure out what to do.

[musi]

Realizing, i have to act fast, i jumped up and hit my head on the very low ceiling of the strange room i was in..

[oceanflower]

(You left out the "q," musi, so I'll do "q." :))

"Quite strange," I thought. "I have been reunited with my body."

(Next person use the letter "s")

Silly me, thought i, realizing my mistake.. :)
and then suddenly..

The walls of the room began closing in on me.

Using the coat tree in the corner, i tried to brace the walls so that they would stop, but the tree shattered...

violently, but so did the walls, and i was covered in bright light.

It pierced through my closed eyes and stars began to dance around me, suddenly I heard........

weird noises coming from the other side of the wall, so not hesitating i..

x-rayed the walls with my newly-realized x-ray vision.

Yani? what was yani doing here? i must investigate further.

"Wow! Yanni really is here!" I discovered.

"Wow! Yanni really is here!" I discovered.
ummm...i believe it goes: w then x then y then z...but oh well...

"Zounds! thought I, "I wonder if there are any other famous long-haired musicians around here?"

Another "oops" for me. Geez, I need to get more sleep or something. :o

Apparently my thoughts were heard, because out of the mist walked.....Ozzy!

Bravely, Ozzie strode across the stage and sat down at the piano next to Yanni and...

"Can't do it!" Ozzie sighed...Yanni and Ozzie looked at each other in total despair....

[musi]

dreaming it wouldn't be happening, but suddenly the curtain opened and...

evidently the audience wanted them to play something because....

[H. Caulfeild]

from the crowd came a call for music.

[musi]

getting a grip of themselves, Yanni began to play and Ozzie began to sing..

[oceanflower]

"Hooray!" shouted the audience, springing to their feet.

[H. Caulfeild]

Initially the euphonious music pleased the crowd, but then a fire erupted backstage.

Just as the flames began to spread to the costumes, a little boy came from out of nowhere with a massive supersoaker attached to the hose pipe outside.....

[H. Caulfeild]

keeping the flames at bay.

Lines of firetrucks appeared in the distance.

[H. Caulfeild]

Many of the civilians just stood and watched as the flames just kept licking up the side of the building.

Pray tell....where are Yanni and Ozzie?!!

Oh hell. Well...I'll back up...

No one moved a muscle.
Out of the midst of the crowd someone shouted,
Pray tell, where are Yanni and Ozzie?

Running for their lives, Yanni and Ozzi were making their way through the crowd when...

quite suddenly....

Someone yelled STOP!!!!!

Taken aback, the crowd froze!

[angelhair]

Under the circumstances, someone would have yelled "Oh it's alrights come on..." but this time no-one did. Silence held it's strong hold and no-one moved a muscle.

[musi]

very slowly, trying not to raise attention, a figure of an unknown person was moving towards the stage..

"Who could that be?" everyone wondered.

[musi]

Xmas Santa!

(i feel more and more stupid with every post i make today.. must be out of my head.. %) )

Yanni and Ozzie ran toward him.

[musi]

Zooming a camera at what was going on, an well known reporter was watching the movements of Yanni and Ozzi with interest.

Arrgh!! We're being watched!! Yanni and Ozzi looked at each other shrugged their shoulders and yelled "Who Cares!!" Looking at Santa they continued their run towards him giving him the biggest hug ever! But was it really Santa??

"Beware of wolves in sheeps clothing!" someone shouted.

[musi]

Curious as to what the frase might mean, Yanni and Ozzi stopped running towards Santa, but it was too late..

Darling Yanni was caught by Santa's tight chested grip, he turned round and with an evil laugh vanished into thin air..................

Everyone began screaming....

Feeling shocked, Ozzie tried to control himself and try searching for Yanni.

Going from person to person, Ozzie began asking what everyone had seen.

Have you seen? did you see??? no-one said anything! Ozzie stopped and looked. Why was everyone behaving like they do in a game of statues?

It must have been because they were statues!!

Just over the heads of the statues you can see a man coming towards you, who could it be?

Kirsten Dunst! But she's not a man!

[H. Caulfeild]

Looking closer, you see that her hair is pulled back tightly in a pony tail, you start weaving your ways towards her...

[musi]

Moments pass, but Kirsten acts as if she doesn't know you and then you start crashing all these statues..

[oceanflower]

Nearby, church bells begin to ring.

[H. Caulfeild]

Off in the distance you hear a crow cawing at it's prey before it strikes...

[oceanflower]

Perhaps this is all a dream?

Quietly Kirstin stops and thinks.......

"Real or a dream?"

[musi]

Suddenly out of nowhere Yanni appears...

[oceanflower]

"Try to wake up." he said.

"Up? Why should I wake up?" Kirsten asks groggily.

"Very simply, so you can marry me, my dear." Yanni whispered lovingly.

...Karma, I thought, joyously, will triumph and the essential order of the universe will be restored one day soon, but in the meantime I had better get out the garbage!

"Will I marry you?" Kirsten replies dreamily. "Of course I'll marry you!"

Xylaphone players serenaded the happy couple.

[musi]

"You cannot marry her," cried Ozzie.

[oceanflower]

Zither players joined the xylaphone players and drowned out Ozzie's plea.

[DARKanima]

Although one of the zither players snapped a string, he continued playing no matter how flawed it was, thus soiling his zither player honour...

[oceanflower]

Bravely he played on, however, which inspired Kirsten to say....

[DARKanima]

"Come on zither player 47 you don't need all of your strings to play!"

[oceanflower]

"Darling Kirsten, I adore you!" he exclaimed.

[DARKanima]

Even though they were brought apart by social strification their love burned through the progression of each song...

[musi]

fully realizing he was loosing her, Yanni tried to get Kirsten away from the music and the musician..

emm, i am confused a bit.. between Yanni and Ozzie - who is a man and who is a woman?:D

even though kirsten wanted otherwise, she left the zither players to their playing...

Alec...you went backwards! The next letter is: g

"Go, dear zither player, and take mt heart with you", she cried, the tears streaming down her cheeks.

Sad and alone, Kirsten contemplated the meaning of life.

AAGGHHH! Samantha, you skipped waaaaaayyy down to "s" ....the next letter is h.

"How can l ever find another true love?" she sobbed.

Oops..I thought this was like the other games

Indignant at her chauffeur's tardiness, Kirsten was forced to walk home in a thunderstorm and got her dress soaked.

Just as she'd given up hope, a car pulld up beside her.

[Goldfishies]

Kirsten's arch-nemesis Samantha was in the car and refused to let her in :)

Laughing maniacally, Samantha drove off, the car tires spraying poor Kirsten with mud.

Mad and frustrated, Kirsten walked five miles to Liz's house and asked if she could borrow a dress.

No one was home!

[musi]

Only light was coming from the neighbour's house, so Kirsten decided to knock..

[Scheherazade]

'Please, please, please,' she begged. 'Please open the door!'

[Goldfishies]

quilts, blankets, and pillows fell on Kirsten as Liz ambushed her from atop a tree

Realizing that she was being mean, Liz invited Kirsten to her home.

[Goldfishies]

Suddenly Kirsten realized that she had gone to the wrong house and that it wasn't Liz standing in front of her, but Samantha!

[oceanflower]

Terribly confused, Kirsten began to cry.

[Goldfishies]

Until that moment, Samantha didn't realize how distraught Kirsten was, so she took pity on her, invited her in, and gave her a bowl of soup.

[oceanflower]

Very slowly the realization began to dawn on Kirsten....she was asleep and dreaming!

[Goldfishies]

Waking up, she was greatly surprised that Liz, Samantha, Musi, and StarAnise were all standing around her bed and saw that there was a birthday cake on her desk.

Xylophones, teddy bears, and other birthday presents were piled around Kirsten's bed.

And standing there, looking down on her lovingly was....the zither player!

[Goldfishies]

You forgot Y.

"Yow!" Kirsten cried, as she cut her finger on a toy

I also forgot "z"....oops!

"Zither player, my darlimg. you've returned!"

(The next leter is "B")

Bandaging her finger, Kirsten took the zither and began to play.

[oceanflower]

Crying tears of amazemnt and joy, the zither player took Kirsten into his arms.

[H. Caulfeild]

"Dunst!" he cried, "It's been years! Remember me? I'm your old zither teacher."

[oceanflower]

Everyone stood still as they waited for Kirsten's answer.

[H. Caulfeild]

Finally, Kirsten answered with a smile, "Of course i do," she said, and started playing with her deft fingers.

[Goldfishies]

"Great!" The zither player exclaimed. He couldn't believe that Kirsten still remembered how to play the zither. Just then, Kirsten's piano teacher opened the door and came inside.

"How have you been, Kirsten?" Miss Frizzle asked.

[Goldfishies]

Indignant at her teacher's unwelcome intrustion, Kirsten said "Fine!" and stalked off.

[musi]

Just as she was about to open the door, she slipped and fell down..

Kirsten began to cry

[Goldfishies]

Laughing maniacally, the zither player stalked off.

[oceanflower]

Mumbling to himself, he got into his car and drove off.

[Goldfishies]

Numb with shock, Kirsten walked to her ottoman and plopped down.

[musi]

Opening her eyes, Kristen realized she was lying in an unfamiliar room.

[Goldfishies]

Playing with a lock of her hair was a unfamiliar man clad in black. Then she realized her hands and feet were tied with rope.

[musi]

realizing that, Kirsten tried to free herself, but in vain..

what about Q?

"Save me somebody!", Kirsten shouted, but only the strange man heard her.

Throwing open the backdoor, another man came in. "Don't worry" he shouted, I'm here to save you!

Understanding she was finally safe, Kirsten fainted..

Vowing to find the person that did this, the man carried Kirsten to the couch. "YOu are safe now" he said and ran back out the door to find the perpetrator.

[musi]

Wondering, who that was, Kirsten fell into deep sleep..

[Lavender Heart]

X-rated dreams filled her slumber. She awoke disturbed at the thought of what he could have done to her.

[Winifred]

"Yonder goes the man in black,"somone shouted outside Kirsten's door, ' no, wait, it's Tommy Lee Jones - and who is that with him with the 6 arms?"

[musi]

Zaphod Beeblebrocks certainly, or to be exact, 2 Zaphods, - realized Kirsten, but where are they all going?

"Ah, that's where they're heading", she finally realized.

[Nesonatalm]

But suddenly all went haywire for her entourage, and a sasquatch hound came into sight, leering down on the frightened prey from a Moorish wall.

[Lavender Heart]

Can they make it through the mountains? Perhaps the banana's she packed for the trip would distract the hound. Do sasquatch hounds eat bananas? She would soon find out.

[Nesonatalm]

Daring the odds, they fed a thousand wild beats, and returned to Scranton, Ohio to tell the ever livid tales of "Woo!".

[Winifred]

Eating leftover bananas, they looked beyond their balcony with disbelief as the city skyline, red in the stormcloud-laced sunset, began to sway and quiver.

[musi]

Forgetting how long it took them to get there, they went on their journey.

[Winifred]

Galumphing through the twilit streets toward the horizon, they failed to hear the curious silence of landscape simply melting behind them.

[musi]

Heading north, Kirsten realized she was being followed.

[oceanflower]

Icy fear gripped her heart.

[Winifred]

Jumping ahead two chapters, she shook her pursuer, but landed, breathing hard, in the middle of a conversation with two strangers.

[musi]

Knowing, who Kirsten was, the two strangers addressed her.

[oceanflower]

Listening to them speak, Kirsten began to feel nervous.

[musi]

"Maybe, we can help you?" asked two strangers.

[oceanflower]

"No thank you," Kirsten replied.

[musi]

"Oh, then maybe, you could help us?" insisted the two strangers.

[oceanflower]

"Perhaps." said Kirsten.

[musi]

"Quick, we must move fast, if you want to helps us", said two strangers making Kirsten go with them.

[oceanflower]

Reluctantly, Kirsten went along with the strangers.

[musi]

Suspecting something strange, however, she said:

[oceanflower]

"Take me to that restaurant over there so I can get something to eat."

[musi]

Understanding what Kirsten wanted, the two strangers took her to the restaurant and bought her a dinner.

[Winifred]

Viewing the dessert menu, Kirsten wondered if the two strangers needed her company badly enough to fork out for tiramisu and expresso.

When the waiter came to take her order, Kirsten ordered both.

[Winifred]

"Xanadu is nice this time of year, " said Kristen conversationally, as she nibbled delicately and slowly sipped her expresso to stall the meals' finish.

[Moon Shadow]

"Y'all come back now, ya hear?" said the waiter cheerfully as Kirsten left the restaurant.

[Winifred]

Zipping out the door quickly, Kirsten almost eluded the pair, who fell in ominous step on either side of her.

At once Kristen realised that she needed a plan
