You're right. My oops count is rather impressive, isn't it? I don't mean sound like I am bragging. It's just unfortunate that the posts themselves don't do me justice. They fail to capture the hard work that went into avoiding an 'oops'. I wish I could speak for all 'oops' members out there, but I have no idea how hard you toiled and laboured...or whether your 'oops' arose from another situation. :P :P

Has it been over a week without any news 'oopsies' members? I think we need some new tactics. Maybe we should have an 'oops' police to patrol the forums occasionally and jeer at users that deny being a member of our little operation. 8)

Hello, how do you join this club?
Consider yourself a member already! Because of this post (http://www.literatureforums.net/viewtopic.php?t=733), you are already a member. Congratulations on your achievement!
To other 'oops' members, please welcome our two newest members...Sjoerd and Chronicler_of_London. After what seemed like an eternity of no growth, we have just reached new levels! To avoid such stagnant periods in the future, we may have to come up with some sort of advertising campaign.

I'm going to quote the almighty governator when I say: "SHUT UP!!!" If you imagine Arnold saying that it will be more funny. Just as I was laughing at Liz for repeatedly making those silly little mistakes I, too, fell into the trap.
Laugh at me if you must, but keep it mind that I rule. It's decidedly so.

OK, that's it! I'm starting a collection or at least getting a biographer for all the Oops 'nicknames' I've accumulated. Geez.
Hmmm...I can't be the 'Sovereign Grand Oopsmaster General' because only 25 characters will fit in the custom user name field. Oh well. That could be a good thing. I really was going to try that on for size for a few days...
Maybe I'll just be 'Super Mod & Oopsmaster'

hehehe...I got that from "Schott's Original Miscellany", which offers a speculative list of the grades of Freemasons.
Though actually the second ranked one is possibly better- Sublime Prince of the Oopsing Secret :D Still too long though. I think Venerable Grand Oopsmaster is about the highest grade that will fit and make sense.

If I can count right, we can shorten it to "Sublime Prince of the Oops"- I think that's 25 characters including spaces.

EDIT: It's 26, I can't count! Make that "Sublime Prince of Oopsing"

There are ranks above me though, right? Beacause frankly, I don't think of a Prince as very high ranking. That is reserved for Kings, and well, Buddas. Think of THAT! eflo: Buddha of Oopsing.

Well, the degrees are only really speculation to us..the whole secret society thing.
According to my speculative list you are second only to the Sovereign Grand Inspector General of Oopses, whose title is too long let him/her come and depose you.
Of course, we could always invent plenty more...

About my user title disappearing, I kept changing it one night, and left it at default. So, I think this calls for me saying, "Oops, I temporarily forgot my status as the Sublime Oops Prince". It seems I will need to rid myself of this abacus and get a calculator instead. I seem to be swimming in a sea of oopses right now...

I happen to like yours better. Would it be so much to ask that all of your posts over 1000 be taken away and I be blessed with your custom user title as well?
About my user title disappearing, I kept changing it one night, and left it at default. So, I think this calls for me saying, "Oops, I temporarily forgot my status as the Sublime Oops Prince". It seems I will need to rid myself of this abacus and get a calculator instead. I seem to be swimming in a sea of oopses right now...

We should set up a date when the weather is warmer. Perhaps you didn't notice that it's FREEZING outside? I also want to avoid bringing a picnic basket to the picnic when we go...I don't want to encourage Yogi Bear to come along as well.
Perhaps the weather will be warm in March or April. Stay tuned...we should pass around a sign up sheet so everyone can bring something.

The snow falling every day tends to remind me. Ooh, here it comes again actually. Trouble is, we still have only a measly centimetre or two on the ground....
If Yogi Bear wants to come he'll need to sign up and oops first..... Jellystone Park would be cool, but I've heard that the Hooville Gardens are nice.

Well, the weather has been warming up nicely, here. Still, I want to wait a little bit before scheduling a picnic date...just to make sure it's not a prank the weather is playing on us. What better way for the 'Oopsers' to spend a picnic than in the freezing cold. ("Oops! It looks like we picked a fine day to have a picnic"). I will begin scoping out possible picnic sights...and the Hooville Gardens is definitely a strong contender. If anybody else has suggestions, please let me know. Oh...and if anyone has some time to spare, it would be nice if you could help me scope out these possible picnic sights...either going to look yourself or coming along with me.
Stay tuned...I don't think our picnic day is too far off. I hope everyone can attend!!

mazarane 'gave' me a picture of a banana hat a few months back (was it that long?). It was actually modelled by a cat. I searched around the internet and found the picture I posted, and thought I would post it here. I guess to everyone's confusion.
I won't be wearing any banana hat to the picnic, I promise. And it's snowing today after being 60 degrees yesterday...sigh. See? The weather was playing a trick on us!

What do you think, fellow oopsers? The weather here has been pleasant for the past couple of days...so I think our picnic isn't too far away. I don't want to rush things...maybe we could schedule for the end of April or sometime in May? What works for you? We also need to pass around a list for everyone to sign up and bring something to eat...and if you don't want to bring something to eat, then maybe you can bring a croquet set or something like that.

Just curious, because if so then I...ahhhh ummm nevermind.

Honestly, I'm constantly making typos since we got this new keyboard. It's laid out differently than the old one (may it rest in peace) that I'd been using for ten years. I think the whole keyboard is generally smaller, which is more comfortable for my hands, but otherwise is causing me the typo trouble. Either that or I've had a stroke to coincide with the purchase of the new keyboard. :o
Ten years?! Wow...that's an old keyboard. Antique in computer years. Did you chuck it or retire it to a closet? Well...sooner or later, you'll be used to the new keyboard and the Oops thread will fade into oblivion again. :( Unless someone else gets a new keyboard...or a mouse or something of the sort. :D

:o:o Is it already past the middle of June?! My, I think I really messed this up! I hope I didn't let anyone down!! :( Well, right now, the weather is perfect outside here. I think that we should set the Oops picnic for 02 July or the 09 July. I hope it's not too short of notice for anyone. If it is, maybe we can schedule for the fall...I don't want the heat to be too unpleasant for anyone. I haven't seen Pete around much either...I know he was really looking forward to this outing. Perhaps we can all bring a little something, and if someone can't bring something...it'll be ok. Maybe we can have the picnic catered. I'm sure whoever we ask won't mind on such short notice...we are members of the Oops Club afterall...how can you refuse that?

I'll vote for July 9. If she isn't I suppose we can make her an honorable Oopster for the occasion...yes or no?
If there aren't too many objections by the end of the week, we'll set the picnic date for 09 July. Honorary Oopsters are welcome. We could invite the whole forum if nobody objects. I'm going to bring a tent and a big sign advertising who we are...and what we do. :)

Everyone run to defend the Secret Chocolate Button Store!
Hey! You can't keep me from my rightful choclote buttons!!
I have actually been having trouble accessing the forums as of late. I mentioned it in oceanflower's birthday thread...sometime I will click on my "favourite" directing me to these forums, but without success. But then, five minutes later, everything will work fine. Anyone else experience something similar?
Well, now that you're all here...what was it that I was thinking about doing in the first place?
I think that now that registration is required...and future oopsters eliminated...we need to keep ourselves close somehow. We can't forget our membership to this club, eh? (If you do, I'll make you remember) :D:D:D (Where is the flaming evil smilie)?
We should plan a field trip to someplace where an "Oops" was committed...but it became something of greatness. What say you, fellow Oopsters?
