I prefer the policies of Lib Dem and Green however Labour have proved how good they are at running the country, especially the economy...

This is a genuine question, not a rhetorical one because I genuinely know nothing about this: what makes you say that?

well its good to see the greens running, as they have values and the gus to stick with them, but are predominantly an environmental pressure group. they have no wide ranging policies on health, education, defence etc and dont have the people to formulate these policies yet alone have the people with enough knowledge in these areas to form a cabinet, therefore the running of the departments. So thats why i say they would be incompetent if they ever managed to win an election.

And you can see how in just under two years my views have radically changed as I've come to the realisation about how controlled by a few people, most of whom having inherited large sums of money and swaves of land, so called 'liberal democracy' is.

I'm now a member of a marxist-leninist organisation, the Socialist Workers (http://www.socialistworker.co.uk) Party

Hi Craig
My friend stood for local green councillor some years back, I read the Green Party's manifesto and their policies on health, education and defence are actually very sound. I understand they are doing okay in Germany and Holland and haven't fallen apart through incompetence so far. It is my opinion they can't do much worse than the shower we have in at the moment (so much false promise in '97!). And as for the Tories, don't gert me started.
I wonder if Kennedy will eventually return for the Lib Dems, I think he would've made a decent leader, as they go.

well, noone can take them seriously, especially after the current leader was apparantly covering up for Kennedy, though unless he fully repents, he will not really be considered a serious candidate for running the country. The Tories are becomming more Green and have the support, but than we just have to remember two words which sum up the tories very well--

Not Gordon Brown that's for sure!

Last local election I voted Green, but that was back when I lived in Oxford and the Greens were quite strong there. Now I live in London I haven't a clue who I'd vote for.

I find the prospect of having either Gordon Brown or David Cameron as leader of the country mildly disturbing, and worryingly they're the only ones that are in with a chance.

In London there are areas of strong support for either the Greens or Respect. They are probably the best options.

This site should help you: http://www.strategicvoter.org.uk/doku.php

The BNP are a racist/nationalist/fascist party. There policies include deporting all immigrants even to countries that are unsafe. There leaders have been previously convicted of holocaust denial. There members have taken part in terrorism, including nail bombing. http://www.uaf.org.uk - Unite Against Fascism - if anyone wants to help stop the nazis in their area call them and they'll send you information about when local groups are leafleting against them near elections.
