What do you think?

mazarane
05-20-2004, 09:03 AM
seems pretty cool for English. What other languages does it know?

incka
05-20-2004, 04:05 PM
It knows a few words in other languages, if you can't find a word in any lanaguage please add it, the idea is for it to be multilingual...

mazarane
05-20-2004, 04:26 PM
ok, yeah..I think I'd find it a bit weird trying to define a single word precisely though..............

Hey, I'm not gonna put google ads on until it gets 100,000 searches a day... Which it will do, it will get 1,000,000 searches a day eventually...

creme_ala_creme78

Matthew Sweet
06-07-2004, 08:50 PM
Another one? Are there two definitions of me now?

creme_ala_creme78
06-07-2004, 09:17 PM

Matthew Sweet
06-08-2004, 07:48 AM
Well, it better be funny like Mike's definition ... anything I don't like will mean lawsuit: slander - something Sean likes a lot!

Matthew Sweet

06-09-2004, 06:41 PM

debbie_harry
06-10-2004, 08:41 PM

creme_ala_creme78
06-10-2004, 08:42 PM

debbie_harry
06-10-2004, 08:45 PM

frankly i dont belive in the elderly, i believe they are just a story made up to scare little children, unless of course the elderly are robots....thats a different story

nycteris

gotta love chef brian...
seconded. :P

My culinary arts teacher looked almost exactly like him, except his eyes weren't skewed, and he wasn't insane~

creme_ala_creme78
06-12-2004, 10:33 PM
hehe, i wouldnt have been able to stop laughing when i looked at him...

nycteris
06-13-2004, 02:20 AM
i thought of buying him the shirt, but then two things made me decide not to:
1. i don't have a credit card, or any money to spend
2. i don't think he knows about Chef Brian, and Chef Schmidt is awesome; i'd rather not risk the chance of him taking it as a commentary on his sanity and/or cooking skills --even though seeing his reaction to it would be worth some pretty good laughs :D

creme_ala_creme78
06-13-2004, 02:23 AM
lol, i would love a chef brian tee, but like you, i have no money, heck i dont even know if they have womens tees....

nycteris
06-13-2004, 02:35 AM
drat; they (http://www.gamerwarez.com/index.php?crn=59&action=show&show_products_mode=cat_click) used to have them (well, normal tees anyhow, that had chef brian on the back, saying, "ever wonder why the color purple tastes like crowbar?"), like three days ago they still did, but now they're nonexistent. I think they replaced it with the Ted the Penguin tee. How annoying. >:I

Just to pretend i'm still on topic, don't you run into a problem with that dictionary when people make stupid entries, or spell incomprehensibly?

creme_ala_creme78
06-13-2004, 02:38 AM
teds pretty cool, but not as awesome as brian, i think a shirt saying 'if my toes were made of broccoli i would rule the world' would be pretty awesome!

do the shirts say anything on them or just have a pic of ted?

better yet, could you send me the link to their shop cuz im to lazy to surf on their site till i find it...

nycteris
06-13-2004, 02:42 AM
lol, no prob, here're (http://www.gamerwarez.com/index.php?crn=59&action=show&show_products_mode=cat_click) all their shirts; you can click on each thumbnail, and be brought to a page that shows what exactly's on each shirt. :P

creme_ala_creme78
06-13-2004, 02:46 AM
i dont like the ted one, i think just a black shirt w/ a pic of a penguin would be wicked, but forget that!

and i searched for chef brian and it said search found 1 match, but it wouldnt show me the match!

nycteris
06-13-2004, 02:51 AM
yeah; i tried that, too. CHEF BRIAN IS LOST TO THE T-SHIRT WORLD.
They used to have more posters, and i think one or two hoodies, too, only a few weeks ago. Too bad; i wonder why they pulled them from the index without explaining why. I guess we could asssume they're sold out, but it'd be nice to be told if they're bringing them back or not.

....

And the dictionary is cool, but i still think that even if the fact that it's user-created to a certain extent means that it'll be really amusing, the same things that make urbandictionary annoying will likely be a problem for this one. Even if yours wisely doesn't use yellow and orange as your base colours.

creme_ala_creme78
06-13-2004, 02:53 AM
urbandictionary? whats that? well, im assuming its an online dictionary, but whys it annoying?

nycteris
06-13-2004, 02:57 AM
http://www.urbandictionary.com
It's a dictionary of slang/vernacular/Leet/technical/whatever words, mainly for n00bs and people like me who don't bother to follow the evolution of leetspeak, and must covertly seek an explanation for the tangential jokes, and odd terms like stfu.

It's annoying because twenty bazillion people may post a definition for the same word, and a good deal of those definitions are often less-than helpful, even contradicting each other.

creme_ala_creme78
06-13-2004, 03:16 AM
yeah, i can see why that could be a bit annoying...

Matthew Sweet
06-13-2004, 08:53 PM

what did you do? berlinova, moma, luftwaffenmuseum?

maybe i´ve seen you!

Matthew Sweet
06-14-2004, 04:06 PM
Hah! I used to be member of the Förderverein Luftwaffenmuseum ... untill my studies took all my money :(

I relaxed most of the time ... a bit of sight seeing as I hadn't been to Berlin in 4 years.

The Luftwaffenmuseum is okay ... If I could say how it should be run I'd move everything to Tempelhof as it's going to be closed in November. And I don't like rebuilds of old aircraft either :P They do have some nice original planes, like the Do 29. Too bad they painted that one in a fake colour scheme - my main point why the Flugwerft Schleißheim of the Deutsches Museum (München) is better.

Hah! I used to be member of the Förderverein Luftwaffenmuseum ... untill my studies took all my money

haha! i just wanted to make a joke… you´re kind of transparent!

to be true: i´ve never been there (luftwaffenmuseum). it´s somewhere "jwd" - gatow or something, isn´t it?!

well, 4 years is long space of time - especially in berlin! but i can´t believe you didn´t go to the berlinova or moma!

oh, and i don´t want to be that inquisitive about your "studies", but what kind of studies took all your money?!?

Just never really had chance to, always too busy doing something or other... However I did go to a sort of museum, if you can class a bird zoo with lots of info as a museum, no so long ago...

i went to the metropolitan museum of art last month, but unfortunately, i was surrounded by uncultured, immature high school students that didnt care about any of it, so i didnt get to enjoy it either because as soon as i would go see an exhibit, some1 would start mocking it! esp. the sculptures, it was really infuriating!!!!

marie
06-15-2004, 10:20 AM
i try to go every week… and sometimes i have to, cause i have to give a kind of paper (lecture?)…

you just have to ignore the "uncultured, immature high school students" even if it´s hard…

creme_ala_creme78
06-15-2004, 12:36 PM
yeah, except for the fact that if i ignored my friends then they would get fairly angry, lol, im soooo jealous!! i wanna go to the met every week!!! when i went last time they had King Louis's Bedroom set, or a replica of it...it was soooo awesome, my favorite is the 18th century (i think its 18, im not positive) European Paintings...Degas, Monet, van Gogh, etc.
