This is a series based on a series of novels by Jeff Lindsay about a serial killer who works in the Miami Metro Police Department by day as a blood spatter analyst.

I find this series really original, in fact, it's the one series I make a point of watching although TV is not high on my list of things to do. Anyone else heard of it/watched it/liked it?

I've heard of it. I saw the commercials for it on TV and thought it seemed cheesy because of a silly name like Dexter, and my sister thought the same thing. But then her boyfriend convinced her to watch one episode and now she's watching them all! I haven't seen them yet though.

oh Dexter. i just finished a binge on the first season. i'd seen the commercials and knew it was about "america's favorite serial killer" or some hokey garbage like that and i knew it was probably a smart show but i didn't know if i'd want to invest the time into it. so i watched the first episode and ended up finishing the season with in three days. omg, i feel so guilty and my ass is sore from all that sitting around but it was so worth it. my heart was pounding every time i thought he might get caught. i love the dynamics of the show. i feel like a weirdo for liking it so much but at least i'm in good company.

the last episode of the season was so sad and sweet. i really felt bad for dexter.

my only bitch is that i find his foster sister extremly annoying.

and, now i'm afraid to start the next season b/c i don't think they can top this, i really don't want to ruin a good story.
